Attribute fields were created in ArcView and attribute information was entered at that time. Utah State University verified all features and attributes.There are no duplicate features present.The data only includes features digitized in the areas where the park indicated a priority in invasive plant mapping needs (roads and meadows).The data was digitized using Between-Feature Positions (collected in the field with GPS) as a reference to polygon perimeter. The data were collected according to an accuracy standard of maintaining a maximum PDOP (Position Dilution of Precision) of 6, while tracking a minimum of 4 SV (satellite vehicles). If the PDOP had to be increased during data collection it will be noted in the data set attribute table. These data were differentially corrected and have estimated accuracies in the X and Y direction of 0 to 5 meters, using the above standards while SA (selective availability) was set to zero. No tests were done to confirm this.. In Trimble Pathfinder Office software, accuracy is not represented. Instead, precision is an estimation of the positional error (closeness to truth) available as feature attributes. To estimate precisions the software uses: receiver type (for noise), baseline length, Dilution of Precision, covariance and reference variance components. It is a repeatability measure not an accuracy measure. Gross areas were also added at this stage. Notes were sometimes expanded upon (such as noting "Hand mapped" for features added during this phase). The file name was changed to reflect that the file had been checked and edited (D081215A.ssf changed to Aug12-D.ssf).Files were then differentially corrected, using the closest base station to the park that was available at the time (USFS, Dixie National Forest at Cedar City Utah).Shapefiles were created from differentially corrected files.Shapefiles were edited and additional fields were added : Park Code, Record Number, Areas Surveyed, Surveyors, Ecological Status, % Confidence, Dates Visited, County, State, Country.Data integrated into CEBR_Weeds.gdb\invasives to support organization of NCPN I&M invasive weed survey data and photographs.ArcGIS 9.211/01/2007Zion National ParkNell BlodgettGIS Technicianmailing and physical address
